How to get there

By Public Transport

The nearest station is in Helensburgh. There are two trains an hour from the lower level of Queen Street Station in Glasgow to Helensburgh Central. Check times with national rail enquiries at http://www.traintimes.org.uk or phone 08457 48 49 50

From Helensburgh you can take a bus to Peaton Glen, where we’re camping. The bus from leaves from opposite Helensburgh station every hour. It takes 45 minutes to Peaton Wood and costs £2.70 – you need the right change. Ask the driver to drop you off at the phone box at Ardpeaton. See the bus timetable at http://www.argyllbute.gov.uk/pdffilesstore/btt316. This bus also passes Faslane North Gate.
