Become a regional rep
The Summer Block and Strident Camp will only be as big as the sum of its participants, so getting the word out among our friends and communities is vital. Regional reps coordinate this mobilization for their area, initially by holding meetings and raising awareness, with the aim of building a strong group who will organise NVDA training sessions and assist affinity groups with finding enough legal supporters and getting themselves up to Glasgow. See the regional reps page to find out if there is already an affinity group in your area.
Faslane 365 is very much about cooperative working and consensus, and no one should feel like they're working alone under a burden of responsibility. If there is already a contact up there, get in touch and see how you can help. Each regional affinity group may well break into smaller affinity groups for blockading, but it will be more powerful if you can work together to mobilize others.
We can offer loads of support by putting you in contact with groups who have already blockaded, suggesting speakers, providing promotional material for you to print off e.g. fliers and posters, and swapping notes on successful fund- and awareness-raising stunts from die-ins to cake-sales, subvertising to poetry slams.
Just come!
You don't have to have been in touch with an affinity group to come and participate, in the workshops, lobbying and discussions, in a support role, in protesting peacefully and legally, or by joining a blockade while you're at Peaten Glen. There will be NVDA training on offer, and plenty to think talk and walk about during the week. In short, you are welcome.
